Lawn Lizard is a product of ChikoUSA. By using thelawnlizard.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

You may read the site, use the Lizard Layout Tool for your own project, and download the estimate it produces. Please do not try to break the site, work around its limits, scrape it, or use it to send anyone anything they did not ask for.

The numbers this site produces are estimates. They are not engineering, not permitting advice, and not electrical advice. They are a starting point for a conversation about your project.

The Lizard Layout Tool works out how much a row of panels might produce from where you put it on the map, how many panels you chose, which way they face and how steeply they are tilted. It uses public solar datasets and a model. It does not know about your roofline, your trees, your soil, your local code, your utility, your panels’ real specifications, or the shade that crosses your yard at four in the afternoon in December.

Real production will differ, and it can differ a lot. Do not buy equipment, sign a contract, size a system, or make a financial decision on these figures alone. A licensed engineer, electrician or installer for your jurisdiction is who signs off a real design.

The site, the Lizard Layout Tool and the estimate documents are provided as they are, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the estimates are accurate, that the site is uninterrupted, or that it is free of errors.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising out of your use of the site or of anything it produces, including any decision made on the strength of an estimate.

This section is about the site and its estimates. It is not about the Lawn Lizard mount itself, whose warranty travels with the product.

The Lizard Layout Tool uses Google Maps for its address suggestions, its geocoding, and its satellite and 3D imagery. Your browser talks to Google directly to draw it, so by using the map you are also using Google’s services and you agree to Google’s terms:

The imagery, the map data and the place data belong to Google and its suppliers, and the date a satellite picture was taken is not something we control. What our Privacy policy says about Google is in section 4 of it.

The assembly video, the install sequence and the documents on this site are provided for information. They show one build in good conditions; they are not a substitute for the instructions that ship with your Lawn Lizard, for the manufacturer’s instructions for your panels, or for local code. Follow the instructions in the box, and follow your jurisdiction.

The site, its text, its drawings, its renders and the Lawn Lizard name and mark belong to us or to our licensors. The estimate you generate is yours to use for your own project. Please do not republish the site’s material as your own.

We may change these terms. The current text is always on this page, with its effective date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
